Triangle launches 'Make Christmas Magical' campaign for CLS

Triangle has launched a special Christmas campaign on behalf of not-for-profit residential care provider and long-standing client, CLS Care Services. Triangle will utilise a combination of print, radio, direct mail, media relations, and social media (#clsChristmasMagic) to publicise the ‘Make Christmas Magic’ campaign.

The 'Make Christmas Magic' campaign will see CLS homes opening their doors to the local community, as they publicise the range of services on offer at the homes over the festive period, and help to address the growing problem of loneliness at Christmas.

Statistics published by the charity Age UK reveal that 60% of people aged over 65 do not expect festive happiness to be part of their Christmas this year, while nearly 400,000 older people are worried about being lonely at Christmas and 2.5 million over-65s say they are not looking forward to the festive season.

Staff at the homes are aiming to create magical Christmas memories by bringing together older people and members of the local community to enjoy events including carolling, hand bell ringing, and traditional Christmas pantomimes.

And in an attempt to tackle loneliness amongst older people this Christmas, CLS is making a special push for people to come and join their residents for Christmas Day, New year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebrations as part of their day care service.

Commenting on the campaign, Triangle PR Managing Director, Chris Hamer, said: “We’re delighted to be able to implement this campaign for CLS. Making sure everybody enjoys Christmas is a cause we can all get on board with.”

Triangle was appointed to handle the public relations for CLS at the end of 2008. Since then, the Manchester-based agency has conducted several highly successful, award winning campaigns with CLS, helping them to be known as one of the leading care providers in the North West.
