Triangle's fundraising efforts for local mental health charity, Manchester Mind has received a massive boost following a donation from Warrington-based St George Healthcare Group.
Ahead of the Triangle team's Great Manchester Run, which takes place on Sunday 22 May, the St George Healthcare Group stepped forward with an incredibly generous £1,000 donation to boost the fund as well as the spirts of the Triangle runners ahead of the big day.
Commenting on the donation, Director of St George Healthcare Group, Hala Fouad, said: “We were delighted to support Triangle’s campaign as Manchester Mind’s work very much complements the specialist nature of our hospitals. The charity delivers a range of support services for people who’re struggling with mental health issues, including mentoring and befriending, welfare rights, debt and housing advice, counseling and volunteering, which can really help turn their lives round.”
St George Healthcare Group runs three specialist hospitals in Warrington, Chester and Oldham. These provide care and rehabilitation for people with brain injuries, autistic spectrum conditions, deafness, mental health issues and a wide range of neurological conditions. The group is active in supporting a number of local charities through its corporate social responsibility programme.
Joanna Huddart at Manchester Mind, said: “As an independent charity, we rely on the support of the local community to ensure we can continue to offer free support services. Demand is increasing each year, and we’re so grateful for the kind donation from St George Healthcare Group – with your help no one need face a mental health issue alone.”
Triangle PR Managing Director, Chris Hamer, added: “Running in the Great Manchester 10K event seemed a great way of highlighting the great work that Manchester Mind does, and we massively appreciate the generous response of the St George Healthcare Group in supporting our campaign in this way.”
